Objective: To determine the array ofearly complications following modified radical mastectomy withaxillary clearance for diagnosed cases of carcinoma of breast.

Material and Methods: This descriptive study was carried out in the Department of Surgery, Liaquat University Hospital and Isra University, Jamshoro / Hyderabad from January 01, 2011 to December 31, 2011. The study included femalepatients with the established diagnosis of carcinoma of breast and undergoingmodified radical mastectomy with axillary clearance. These patients were followed for postoperativecomplications up to one month in the Breast Clinic on out-patient basis
